The Pont Valentre has long been the symbol of the city. The bridge is the only fortified bridge in the world with 3 towers and it is classed as a Major site on the UNESCO World Heritage list.If you are into bridges, then this bridge is highly recommended. It is hard to imagine how people can build such a big structure over a river in the 13th Century (Legend has it that it was built with a deal with the devil.)
The town itself is supposed to be a good place to sample the local cuisine. We didn't stop by for a meal, though I would highly recommend visiting Cahors with Saint-Cirq Lapopie.
Also, I would recommend that when taking portraits, watch out for people sabotaging your photo, as seen in the following pictures!
