UK trip, Aug 2007 - Land's End and St. Ives, Cornwall

Land's End in Cornwall the most westerly point in mainland England.

(If you have super eyesight, you would see John o' Groats on the sign above. Land's End is often associated with John o' Groats, the most north-easterly settlement in mainland Britain and the phrase "Land's End to John o' Groats" is used both as a literal journey and as a metaphors for great or all-encompassing distance. )

Visible from Land's End is the Longships Lighthouse.

SP saying 'hi'!

The field surrounding the Land's End is very beautiful!

The remainder of Land's End is just a big amusement park, similar to what you get at Brighton! It is a very windy place also. We took our pictures and left for another spot.

On the way to St. Ives, we stopped by an abandoned tin mine and next to it was a field of cows.

We paid them a visit even though we were running late. Both SP and I had so much fun. hehehe

When we are back on the road, the sun was already setting. The sunset against the background was particular beautiful. Too bad we didn't capture that on photo.

We arrived in St. Ives just in time to have one of the last photos of the trip:
