Provence is a lovely place. It is an area which I can imagine myself retiring in. There are many small and sleepy villages surrounded by hills and plateau. In summer, these villages are lit up by the sunshine and the scent of lavender is everywhere in the wind.
We visited Provence in July, just before the harvest of lavender. All along the "route de la lavende" (route of the lavender), you can see stretches of of lavender fields. The sun is working overtime, so are the honey bees. On the other hand, SP and I are on holiday and it was so relaxing!
